Lion vs. Süße Pilze

Samstag. Kostümparty. Vorher - Kostüm besorgen. Damit nicht schon wieder das Marienkäferkostüm mit den Beinchen herhalten muss. Vollkommen überteuert (später seh ich ihn noch für die Hälfte, grrr), aber perfekt für mich: der Fliegenpilzhut. Christian entscheidet sich für eine Löwenmaske und wird am Abend den "Cowardly Lion" aus dem Zauberer von Oz geben. Noch schnell einen heliumgefüllten Schmetterling für die Gastgeberin mitgenommen. Danach Shoppingtour im Lieblingsasiamarkt (mit Schmetterling). Ah, wir brauchen unbedingt noch Lion-Riegel und "Süße Pilze". Zuhause trinkt der Löwe dann ein Tiger-Bier und übt beflissen den unvermeidlichen Löwen-Song ein.

Saturday. Costume party day. First thing to do - get a costume. I don't want to wear my ladybug costume again. It's far too expensive (I had to realize later that I could've gotten it for half of the prize in another store, grrr), but it's just perfect for me: the toadstool hat. Christian takes the lion mask. He's going to be The Cowardly Lion tonight. We buy a butterfly for the hostess and go shopping in our favorite Asian grocery store (with butterfly). Ah, we have to get some Lion chocolate bars and "Sweet Shrooms", too. Back home, the lion drinks a Tiger beer and practices the inevitable lion song.

Bunny time

Ich war dem Osterhasen auf der Spur! Seine Kiepe ist anscheinend prall gefüllt, denn er hat bereits einiges im Wald verloren. Das bedeutet wohl, dass Ihr einen Haufen Leckereien zu erwarten habt. Frohe Frühlingstage!

Triff Regenwurm Isabella Rossellini und verliebe Dich auf der Stelle (ein Regenwurm mit italienischem Akzent! Wen könnte das kalt lassen?). In der Kurzfilmreihe "Green Porno", in welcher Signora Rossellini nicht nur als Schauspielerin, sondern ebenso als Produzentin, Regisseurin und Drehbuchautorin fungiert, lernt man eine Menge über das Liebesleben von Schnecke, Fliege, Gottesanbeterin, Wal und Anglerfisch. Mittlerweile drei sexy Staffeln kann man auf dem Sundance Channel bewundern.
Eines der herrlichen Kostüme wird meine erste Wahl für Halloween dieses Jahr (au verdammt! Ich bin auf eine Hochzeit eingeladen am 31. Oktober. Ah! Diese Möglichkeiten!).

Who Dropped The Needle?

Wer heute abend in Hamburg weilt, der begebe sich schnurstracks in meine geliebte Hasenschaukel. Dort werdet Ihr nicht nur die kleinste und schönste Bühne des Reeperbahnfestivals finden, sondern auch der Releaseparty des allerersten Hasenschaukelsamplers beiwohnen.
"Who Dropped The Needle?" heißt er, in Anspielung auf die andächtige Stille, die so oft bei Hasenschaukelkonzerten herrscht und den kleinen Laden zu einem riesigen Raum für die leisen Töne werden lässt. Der Sampler ist eine Sammlung von Konzertaufnahmen, alle in den vergangenen fünf Jahren auf der rosaroten Zwei-Meter-mal-zwei-Meter-Bühne der Hasenschaukel gemacht. Dabei sind so phantastische Künstler wie The Wave Pictures, Cheese On Bread, Gisbert zu Knyphausen, Stanley Brinks, Frontier Ruckus, Moto Boy, Björn Kleinhenz, The Great Park, Anaïs Mitchell, Cedarwell, The WoWz und noch einige mehr.
Das prächtige Stück erscheint offiziell am 16.10. auf DevilDuck Records und wird vertrieben von Indigo.
Direkt in der Hasenschaukel kann man "Who dropped the needle?" natürlich auch erwerben. It is called "Who Dropped The Needle?" as a reference to the amazing quietness that happened on so many concerts at Hasenschaukel and that made the tiny venue become such a giant room for soft sounds. The CD is a collection of some of the best live performances during the past five years of Hasenschaukel by fantastic artists like The Wave Pictures, Cheese On Bread, Gisbert zu Knyphausen, Stanley Brinks, Frontier Ruckus, Moto Boy, Björn Kleinhenz, The Great Park, Anaïs Mitchell, Cedarwell, The WoWz and many more.
