These are some random pics from last weekend. The parents visited us which meant a tough sightseeing schedule. I took a closer look at stuff I thought I knew and discovered a whole bunch of new things, too.
E. hat dieses bezaubernde Geschöpf auf dem Karmelitermarkt erworben. Es saß geduldig beim Bauern zwischen Gemüse und Apfelsaft und hat unser beider Herzen im Sturm erobert.

Zuhause. Das Disketten-Kissen hab ich bei Etsy gefunden. Der Pac-Man-Geist ist ein Geschenk meiner Superschwester aus Schweden.

Die Konditoreikette Aida ist DER Szenetreff für ältere Herrschaften in Wien. Die Bedienungen tragen rosarote Kittel und es gibt Himbeerstangerl.
Aida is a pastry shop chain in Vienna that is the number one meeting point for elderly ladies and gentlemen. The waitresses wear pink gowns and they sell yummy raspberry pastries.
Wir haben Aida jedoch links liegengelassen (mir gefällt das Schild nur so gut und ich habe es noch nie fotografiert) und sind in mein zweitliebstes Kaffeehaus getrabt, das unfassbar gemütliche Café Sperl.

Es gibt einen neuen Eisladen in der Stadt: Eis-Greissler ("Greißler" ist österreichisch für "Tante-Emma-Laden") im ersten Bezirk. Eine laaange Schlange, aber dafür sehr, sehr gutes Bioeis von glücklichen Kühen (der Betreiber ist selbst Biobauer mit eigener Molkerei) und eine beachtliche Auswahl an veganen Sorten. Wir hatten Butterkeks, Alpencaramel, Mandel und (vegane) Marille, angeblich sind auch Spargel und Bärlauch dann und wann im Angebot. Bestes Eis von Wien!
There's a new ice cream parlor in town: Eis-Greissler in Vienna's first district. People were standing in a looong line, but the great organic ice cream was totally worth it. They even have a remarkable assortment of vegan ice cream. We enjoyed shortbread, Alpine caramel, almond and (vegan) apricot. Best ice cream in Vienna!

Zwei feine Orte zum Wein und Bier trinken: Heuriger Mayer am Pfarrplatz (Beethoven hing hier rum) und Beisl Wratschko (Blümchentapete!).
Two nice places for a glass of wine or a beer: Mayer am Pfarrplatz (Beethoven liked it here!) and Wratschko (lovely floral wallpaper!).
Ich weiß, ich weiß, viel zu viele Blumenbilder hier in letzter Zeit. Das sind wohl die Frühlingsgefühle in mir. Meine Eindrücke vom Palmenhaus Schönbrunn möchte ich Euch dennoch nicht vorenthalten. Ich mag Gewächshäuser und dieses ist der Kaiser unter den Gewächshäusern.
Es gibt übrigens gerade (noch bis zum ersten Mai) eine kleine Ausstellung fleischfressender Pflanzen dort.

I know, I know. Way too much photos of flowers and blossoms during the last days. Spring really got me. I want to show you my impressions of Palmenhaus Schönbrunn, though. I like green houses and this is the emperor of all green houses.
By the way, they have a little exhibition of carnivorous plants there till May 1st.
