Am 23. April erscheint es, das neue Album des wunderbaren Gisbert zu Knyphausen. "Hurra! Hurra! So nicht." heißt es, finster ist es geworden. Unbedingt hören: "Kräne".

Gisbert zu Knyphausen is probably Germanys best singer-songwriter (together with Sven Regener of Element Of Crime) and a great guy. His new album "Hurra! Hurra! So nicht." will be in stores on April, 23rd. It turned out quite dark. You just have to listen to the song "Kräne", it's a masterpiece.

Mein liebstes Halloween-Lied dieses Jahr: "Tiger Mount Peasant Song", gecovert von First Aid Kit. Irgendwie hat das Lied im Original von den Fleet Foxes bei mir nicht wirklich gezündet. Und auch, als diese Version der beiden schwedischen Schwestern vor einem Jahr durch's Netz geisterte, hat es mich nicht gekriegt. Dafür nun aber umso mehr. "Drunken Trees", die Debüt-EP von First Aid Kit (Klara und Johanna sind unglaubliche 15 und 17 Jahre alt) ist ebenfalls ganz wunderbar. Anfang Dezember sind die Schwestern im Vorprogramm von Port O'Brien in Deutschland auf Tour.

My favorite Halloween song this year: "Tiger Mount Peasant Song", covered by First Aid Kit. I didn't get the beauty of the song straightaway, neither when I heard the original version by Fleet Foxes, nor when I listened to this cover version by two Swedish sisters for the first time in 2008. But now it hit me hard. The debut EP "Drunken Trees" is great, too. By the way, Klara (15(!) years old) and Johanna (17) will be on tour in Germany with Port O'Brien in the beginning of December.
