Bin aufgewacht, weil der knallblaue Himmel so blendete. Kaffee mit Blick auf den Wiesenblumenstrauß, den ich am Vorabend am Straßenrand zusammengeklaut hatte...
Saturday was amazing.
I woke up because the blue sky blinded my eyes. I had some coffee looking at the bunch of flowers I picked at the side of the road the other day...
... Der Junge am Nudelstand um die Ecke schenkte mir einen Glückskeks, mit dieser hoffnungsvollen Botschaft...
... The boy at the Asian noodle booth gave me a fortune cookie that had a promising message in it...

... Christian and I strolled through the streets of the first district and visited some fantastic bookstores in the boiling heat of the day...

... We had some of the greatest cupcakes of all time (with blueberry topping) in the park...

... Christian botanized a little...

... We investigated the green of the old Viennese courtyards...

... the fruit stalls with their beautiful range of products (giant cherries!)...

... sowie Marzipandamenbeine...
... and the candy stores. We discovered candied real violets and real lilacs (unfortunately, I don't have a picture of these)...
... as well as marzipan ladies' legs...

... We came upon a sad popsicle...

... and some small hints that we just missed the Rainbow Parade (held in memory of Christopher Street Day)...

... I fell in love with Lord Vader posing for my camera...

... In the evening, we sat on the still warm asphalt at the "Cinema beneath the stars" and watched a movie from 1933 called "Sunbeam". It was a love story from the time of the Great Depression...

... a wonderful movie.
